From Stage to Healing – My Journey

Traditional Theater

Growing up in Connecticut, I spent most of my time in two places: the theater and the Episcopal Church. Often, the two overlapped—I’d be just as likely to be in a church play as a community theater musical. When it came time to apply for college, I was torn between seminary and theater. The decision was made for me when the theater department offered me a scholarship.

I never looked back. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Theater from Ohio Wesleyan University and quickly followed it with an M.F.A. from Regent University. In the same rushed spirit, I moved to Baltimore to pursue life as a theater director and actor.

The Healing Power of Theater

It was in Baltimore that I truly saw the developmental power of the arts. At Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, I worked with military veterans in their Vet Ensemble, witnessing firsthand how performance could help process trauma and build community.

At ArtStream Inc., I had the privilege of helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities create and perform their own original musicals—an experience that deepened my belief in theater as a tool for transformation.

Inspired by these experiences, I launched The Organic Theatre LLC, an experiment in merging artistry and healing. When the world shut down in 2020, we shifted online, bringing artists from around the globe together in virtual productions before closing in 2021.

Back to School

For the next few years, I worked as a Speech and Theater Teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools—but my passion for the developmental impact of theater never faded.

While studying childhood development to earn my teaching license, I was also diving into adult development through the East Side Institute. I spent two years with ESI—first in their year-long international intensive, then another year training as a social therapeutic coach.

At the same time, I embarked on a deeply personal spiritual journey, studying Shamanic Energy Healing under Dr. Rachel Mann. Balancing all three—teaching, social therapeutics, and shamanic healing—was intense, but each path reinforced my belief in transformation through performance, connection, and energy work.

Starting Scaros Performance Healing

In June 2024, I left teaching to fully pursue this new endeavor—one built on the belief that growth, creativity, and healing are lifelong journeys.

I believe:

  • Development doesn’t stop at 25—you can teach an old dog new tricks.

  • Creativity, spirituality, and psychology are deeply connected and can transform lives.

  • Healing and growth happen effortlessly in a supportive community—whether that’s a classroom, a social therapeutic group, or even a book club.

  • You don’t have to be the Dalai Lama to heal. Anyone can heal, and anyone can help others heal.

Now, I’m bringing together my experience in creativity, spirituality, and development to help people step into their fullest potential.

My mission? To create communities built on real connection, growth, and transformation.

Are you ready to embrace your most authentic self? Let’s create, heal, and transform—together.
